What we are looking for: We are looking for a Business Development Manager with sales experience within digital, ideally with solid Google experience.
What you will do:
- Sales Ability: Consistently close sales and contribute to the company’s bottom line by adding sustainable growth
- Scoping: Scope leads and opportunities that are in line with the company’s ideal client profile and in doing so ensure that growth achieved is sustainable long-term
- Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed both individual and company targets as defined by management
- Sales Execution: Deeply understand the company's offerings, articulate their value to prospective clients and integrate services into client strategies to achieve objectives
- New Client Acquisition: Skillfully mine leads, clients and referrals. Also prepare compelling proposals and onboard clients, adhering to the company's standards and value thresholds
- Lead Management: Ensure timely and professional communication with leads, adhering to the company's high standards for client engagement
- Relationship-Building: Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with all clients and partners, ensuring a steady stream of new business to the company
- Reporting: Provide comprehensive weekly reports to the Head of Business Development, detailing performance metrics and insights
- Onboarding Excellence: Manage client onboarding processes diligently, including agreement facilitation and workflow establishment
- Collaborative Efforts: Maintain productive relationships with Account Management and Operations teams to ensure seamless client management
- Compliance and Enforcement: Ensure valid client contracts are in place for all new clients before work commences and that all company processes are diligently followed
- Innovation and Attraction: Develop and implement creative strategies to attract the right clients to the company
- Continuous Improvement: Commit to ongoing self-education in current technologies and trends, keeping all relevant certifications up-to-date
- Team Involvement: Participate in company team-building events to foster strong inter-departmental relationships
- Time Management: Track and manage your time efficiently using the company's designated software, complying with reporting policies
What you must have:
- Minimum of five years' sales experience in the digital marketing industry
- Proven track record of reaching targets and showing positive growth
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage an audience and build rapport in a short time
- Deep understanding of digital media and the ability to strategise around suitable solutions to reach client objectives
- Passion for working with people and enjoys being social
- Self-motivated, independent worker with respect for authority
