Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy Development - Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with business and manufacturing goals.
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Supplier Management - Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships for a dependable supply chain.
- Negotiate favorable contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, focusing on quality, cost, and delivery.
Inventory and Cost Control - Oversee inventory levels to balance procurement needs and avoid shortages or excess.
- Conduct market analysis to stay competitive with pricing trends.
Risk Management - Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and ethical practices.
Team Leadership and Development - Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide training and guidance on best procurement practices.
Reporting and Analytics - Track and report on procurement KPIs, assessing cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Present insights to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelors Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement management, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Expertise in supply chain processes, inventory management, and cost control.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
