Time Conditions: 7 day Work Week (South Africa)
Purpose of Position: To perform routine and stat analyses of samples and maintain analysers/instruments in a clinical laboratory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Health Sciences Medical Laboratory Science
- HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
Required Experience: Experience in pathology laboratory environment.
Knowledge:
- Ampath QC procedures
- Instrumentation and Methodologies
- Meditech system
- MS Windows
- Relevant pathology test procedures
- Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Switchboard functions in order to correctly refer client requests.
- Assist with training client service employees to ensure competence.
- Implement safety and emergency procedures to ensure safe/continuous working conditions.
- Maintain good client relations to promote the professional image of Ampath.
- Maintain provider and route dictionaries.
- Perform departmental administrative tasks.
