PURPOSE
An exciting opportunity exists to ensure that engineering resources are utilised to maintain the Plant as planned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and Promote Health and Safety on Site
- Maintain FAT RSA Plant safety policy and procedure requirements
- Promote safety performance
- Conduct risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks / briefings
- Perform planned task observations and Visible Felt Leadership (VFLs)
- Ensure appropriate zero harm principles are observed
- Investigate incidents / accidents
Coordination
- Liaise with Engineering and Operations staff
- Evaluate condition monitoring status
- Issue work schedules and job cards on On-Key system
- Coordinate maintenance planning on On-Key system
- Issue requisitions for spares as required on SAGE system
- Monitor equipment movement and logistics
- Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations
Administration
- Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability
- Prepare standby lists and perform standby duties
- Compile weekly reports
- Prepare month-end report
- Generate cost report and other reports required
- Liaise with clients on site
Team Management
- Select and appoint competent and passionate staff
- Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of team
- Monitor performance and maintain discipline
- Offer coaching and on-the-job training to ensure maintenance according to company standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Millwright / Fitter / Electrician Trade Certificate (Section 26)
- All training certificates and training module documentation be available from accredited training centre
- Valid driver’s licence
- MHSA supervision qualifications will be added advantage
- Auto electrical qualification and experience will be added advantage
EXPERIENCE
- Five years Artisan experience in mining / construction / transport / plant hire or manufacturing – yellow machine orientated (ADTs, excavators, graders, wheel loaders, water bowsers)
- Three years experience as an Engineering Foreman/Supervisor, preferable in the Mining environment
