Perform routine maintenance, inspection and repair of electrical systems, equipment and machinery used in the food manufacturing process to ensure smooth and continuous operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faulty components and implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new electrical equipment and machinery, ensuring proper wiring, connections and adherence to safety standards.
- Understand and work with various control systems, such as PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human – Machine Interfaces), and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, to ensure accurate operation and programming adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement electrical upgrades or modifications to machinery and systems for improved performance, energy efficiency and safety.
- Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for electrical systems and equipment, conducting regular inspections, cleaning and lubrication to prevent breakdown.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and faults, working under pressure to diagnose issues and make immediate repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Use testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and insulation testers to evaluate the condition of electrical components and circuits.
