The Role:
The Senior Sales Executive is a force to be reckoned with, securing opportunities for the client to grow by selling their services to prospective clients and seeking new avenues for expansion. A seasoned seller with several years spent agency-side, you know the ins and outs of marketing consultancy services and can put together strategic proposals that meet client needs, selling them in with added wow factor, with support from their senior strategy consultants.
You’ll be involved in inbound and outbound sales, responding to enquiries, managing the sales funnel via HubSpot and liaising with the Head of Growth on proposals and strategies for clients, and looking for outreach and partnership opportunities. Success looks like hitting their growth KPIs and partnering with the senior leadership team to expand the horizon for them - blue sky thinkers and charismatic strategists are welcome!
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the sales pipeline of new enquiries, ongoing deal negotiations and deals in final contracting.
- Keep a close eye on lead generation efforts, report on the quality of enquiries, feed back to the lead gen team on what’s working and what isn’t.
- Conduct outreach - find prospects for us to reach out to and conduct free mini audits for, convince them to request full proposals and move to us from their existing providers.
- Manage the outreach budget and be responsible for outreach KPIs, reporting to the Head of Growth and CEO each week on activity and recommending strategy tweaks.
- Handle intro calls with prospects who book in to speak with specialists, either alone or with the Head of Growth for key opportunities. Use these calls to warm up the prospect, identify their needs and recommend the right services for us to provide.
- Organise follow up calls with the right experts (SEO, PPC, paid social, web development or content/branding) to ascertain the exact strategy to go for and secure projections that confirm this is the right approach.
- With support from the Head of Growth, confirm the correct pricing strategy, hourly rate and UR for each opportunity, ensuring capacity, portfolio fit and deliverability.
- Put together proposals from a provided template, which the Head of Growth will approve (you will likely have senior strategists feeding into the in-depth sections).
- Run proposal calls together with senior strategists, presenting our approach and reasoning, individual channel strategies, projections and pricing.
- Report on overall sales effectiveness; analyse where we can improve our process and recommend ways to enhance performance.
Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years as an agency-side New Business Executive.
- 4+ years overall agency experience, with some hands-on account management experience and a basic understanding of different digital marketing disciplines, particularly SEO, PPC and paid social.
- Comfortable speaking with potential clients, great communication skills.
- Very strong written communication skills, presentation skills and email comms skills.
- Strong experience producing sales reports and explaining them to stakeholders.
- Well-organised and efficient, good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Team player who likes to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate across teams.
- Experience working with healthcare clients is a nice to have.
