How you'll role
As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for documenting Assets Under Management (AUM) and Assets Under Administration (AUA), with a focus on financial reporting and auditing. Your duties will include examining annuitized and non-annuitized assets, classifying different financial elements like trails, commissions, and fees, as well as monitoring the maturity of structured products and aiding in assessing the tax implications of business operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Assist in categorising and analysing annuitized and non-annuitized assets
- Handle reporting and auditing tasks related to funds, including but not limited to categorising trails, commissions, and fees
- Maintain accurate records of asset maturities
- Provide guidance and calculations on tax write-offs
- Maintain reports on Assets Under Management (AUM) and Assets Under Administration (AUA)
- Work on categorising various financial components such as trails, commissions, and fees
- Monitor and manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Audit monthly issues and inflows of commissions
Desired Experience & Qualification
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Prior experience or internship in auditing or accounting is a plus
Package & Remuneration
R25,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
