Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced People Partner with a specialization in Employee Relations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling various employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy implementation. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, providing guidance and support on a wide range of HR-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Discipline Management: Oversee and facilitate the discipline management process, ensuring fair and consistent application of disciplinary actions. Conduct investigations into employee grievances and performance issues, documenting findings and recommendations. Company Representation (CCMA/Other): Represent the company in external forums such as the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and other relevant legal settings. Prepare and present cases, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies. Union Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with union representatives to foster a collaborative work environment. Participate in negotiations and discussions related to collective bargaining agreements and union contracts. Labour Contingency Network Management: Manage and coordinate the labour contingency network, ensuring timely and effective deployment of resources. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address labour shortages and workforce needs. Employee Relations Strategy: Analyse employee feedback and develop action plans to address concerns and improve workplace culture. HR Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all Labour legislations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law. Conduct regular audits of People practices and policies to ensure alignment with compliance standards. Employment Law Framework and Policy Development: Develop, review, and update employment law policies to ensure they reflect current legislation and best practices. Provide guidance and training to management and employees on legal compliance and policy interpretation. Record Management/Case Management: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and union engagements. Ensure effective case management practices to support timely resolution of employee issues.
