Position Title: Data / Business Analyst - Intermediate

Our client is a leading provider of Specialised Cleaning and Hygiene Services across Southern Africa.
Job Purpose and Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst / Business Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design. Develop analysis and reporting capabilities as well as monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze data to provide actionable insights, trends, and patterns to support data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Basic IT Skills: Proficiency in fundamental IT skills to troubleshoot and provide basic support during the weekdays and be on standby every second weekend for IT assistance.
- Data Visualization: Ability to create data visualizations and reports that effectively communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain periodic reports to track key performance indicators and deliver insights to relevant teams.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar software.
- Basic IT knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot common IT issues in a Microsoft environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Advantageous Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.)
- Experience in building web-based dashboards using platforms like "Bubble" or similar tools.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time position with 8-hour workdays, Monday to Friday, at our office location.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should be available on standby every second weekend for basic IT support.
