About the role
Digit Civil Solutions is seeking a talented Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Alberton, QLD. This is a full-time opportunity to work on a variety of semi tippers and plant machinery, playing a key role in maintaining our fleet and ensuring optimum performance and safety.
What you'll be doing
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other heavy equipment components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilising specialised tools and equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed and parts used.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
What we're looking for
- Formal qualifications in Automotive Diesel Mechanics or a relevant trade.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, ideally within the civil/construction industry.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and dexterity to undertake complex repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate heavy machinery.
