Role Purpose
As a Senior BI Analyst, you're an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst, tasked with leveraging Shoprite's operational data to craft meaningful insights. A BI Analyst is a pro at transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will design, develop, and implement Business Intelligence solutions, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the delivered solutions align with organizational goals. Your expertise in designing and implementing BI solutions is crucial for driving strategic initiatives, ensuring a customer-centric approach, and providing visibility across diverse business units.
Role Description
- BI Solution Design: Lead the development of advanced BI solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to implement processes for data accuracy and quality control.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance to the BI Development Team, promoting expertise and innovation as well as ensuring the team documents BI solutions and maintains records of technical specifications and requirements for future.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct performance analyses and optimize ETL processes, datasets, and reports.
- Technology Implementation: Develop BI solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams to integrate BI solutions seamlessly.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Insights Communication: Effectively communicate BI analysis insights to stakeholders.
- Workstream Planning: Participate in planning from inception to BI solution delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, system analysis, mathematics, or related field.
- Advanced degree in Analytics/Science/Engineering/Mathematics (beneficial).
- 3-5 years of experience in BI development, BI analysis, or data analysis.
- Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau/Power BI), SQL, and data modelling.
- Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies (AWS Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar).
