Are you someone who can:
- Prepare and report on the Life Insurance operations and financial conditions monthly – this includes preparing the flash and CEO reports.
- Gain exposure to the budget process and prepare the Life Insurance budget presentation.
- Utilize Essbase and HFM to source financial information for recording and analysis.
- Approve invoices.
- Partner with stakeholders in the provision of financial insights and guidance.
- Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback, and request training where appropriate.
- Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas are actively shared.
- Present monthly to stakeholders.
- Handle ad hoc finance requests.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
- Technical strength, demonstrating attention to detail, especially regarding IFRS.
- CA(SA) is non-negotiable.
- 1-2 years or more of experience in a similar environment.
- Exposure to the Life insurance sector is advantageous.
- Understanding or exposure to IFRS17 is highly advantageous.
- Essbase working experience is advantageous.
- HFM working experience is advantageous.
- Confidence and comfort in giving specialized advice on technical matters.
- Articulation in speech and written English when expressing opinions.
- Excellent and thorough research skills.
