To assess and make decisions on credit applications within prescribed Credit policies, procedures, and risk parameters as well as facilitate pay-out 1st release process. Drive the high focus on Dealer relationship management, and contribute to the company's overall profitability, in compliance with the Company's Policies and internal control systems. Perform the CPU Final release function.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform Credit Risk assessment and Financial Analysis on corporate and individual client’s applications.
- Adhere to service levels and turnaround times in support of business strategy.
- Evaluate all aspects relating to Credit Risk and derive a sound credit decision.
- Keep abreast of market changes, particularly regarding process and credit policy.
- Maintain an objective and consistent approach to credit assessment.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal/external business partners.
- Final release of pay-outs and checking and verifying mandatory documents.
- Respond to e-mails and CIC e-mails as well as inbound and outbound telephone calls.
- Develop self through training programs and on-the-job training.
- Provide input and recommendations on process optimization for system enhancements within the department.
- Identify and support the implementation of automation, efficiencies, and process optimization in your area of responsibility.
- Adhere to internal control systems and actively contribute to detecting and mitigating process gaps.
- Any other tasks that management may necessitate in reaction to unexpected changes to our environment, greater business needs, or to mitigate the vulnerability of the BMW Group's reputation or financial loss.
Educational Background / Professional Knowledge and Experience / Other Skills
- Credit Qualification or BCom Degree (or equivalent).
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in credit end-to-end function.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the credit environment.
- Sound understanding of vehicle asset finance and home loan (if applicable).
- NCA / FAIS compliance would be a benefit.
- Understanding of Asset Based Finance, Corporate and Home Loan.
- Understanding of financial statement analysis and ratio interpretation.
- Must have great verbal and written communication skills and know how to work with people.
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent persuasion, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance and financial legislation e.g. NCA, FICA, FAIS, etc.
