Lead and execute mechanical engineering activities on proposals, tenders, and projects in Mining/Minerals and Water market segments. Deliver engineered packages within budget, on schedule, and to quality standards.
Key Performance Areas:
- Deliver cost-effective, compliant, and safe engineering and design.
- Manage hours, budgets, and change/variations to enhance project profitability.
- Ensure projects comply with client and company policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Provide construction, installation, and commissioning support.
- Generate equipment cost estimates, man-hour estimates, and proposal documentation.
- Assist with tender and bid pricing.
- Liaise with clients to assess needs, propose solutions, and provide cost estimates.
- Develop scope of work specifications and technical requirements.
- Manage vendors and suppliers to meet project objectives.
- Conduct progress inspections, FATs, and final releases.
- Maintain effective integration with other disciplines.
- Provide input to plant reviews and mechanical drawing development.
- Perform functional designs for mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and update equipment lists and registers.
- Execute work in compliance with legislation, codes, and company policies.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in related work within Mining/Minerals/Water projects.
- Experience with a wide range of mechanical equipment.
- Working experience in feasibility studies and project execution.
- Discipline-specific engineering skills.
- B.Sc. / B.Eng or B Tech Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer Certification (ECSA) required.
