Highways Works Manager, Yorkshire, £250 - £350 per day (Inside IR35)
HIGHWAYS WORKS MANAGER OPPORTUNITY - HIGHWAYS CONTRACTORMinimum 4 weeks work, however strong possibility for extension or to become permanent for the right person.

Your new companyWe are working with a highways contractor working out of Yorkshire, with large scale projects across the region. They are seeking a new team member to join their operations and road management team. You will be supporting the Ops Manager and Senior Roads Manager in ensuring that all works are carried out both on budget and on time, with minimal health and safety risk, maximising quality control as well.
Your new role
- Assisting in management of all highway operations and maintenance activities as required.
- Assisting in proactive management of all operatives and contractors to ensure projects are completed to time and estimated costs.
- Assisting in compliance monitoring within set budget, industry standards and H&S regulations as required.
- Assisting in the development of a capable 'can do' working culture to support a well- functioning and productive environment for the team
- Assisting in management of performance which encourages teams and individual growth, including ensuring training provision, recruitment and succession planning as required
- Management of day-to-day delivery works of day and nighttime crews, including traffic management arrangements
- Ensuring that works orders are raised on asset management system and works are delivered within the intervention timescales as per the contract
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience working as a Highways Manager/Engineer
- Strong mentality to learn and develop new skills to contribute to the team
- Experience of using computers and Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Experience of using asset management software would be desirable.
- Fully clean driving licence
- NRSWA Supervisor or Highways Inspector qualifications would be preferable.
