Job Function: To manage the processes, teams, and resources accountable for stock management and on-time and in-full delivery of stock, contributing to operational effectiveness, client / customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Key performance areas: Define standard operating procedures and implement and manage end-to-end processes. Manage operational risk and risk mitigation initiatives. Monitor and report on progress against operational plans and adjust where required. Formulate a plan which includes milestones and priorities to deliver on operational objectives. (3 - 12 months) Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance management, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working environment. Create an engaging, enabling, and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition by demonstrating leadership through personal commitment to organisational values. Manage, monitor, and report on budget variances in order to maximise financial performance. Plan, manage and monitor initiatives to ensure customer service excellence. Qualifications: Bachelor's or equivalent 3 year degree (NQF Level 7) Skills and experience required: Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years tactical leadership / specialist experience. Knowledge of labour relations policies and procedures in dealing with labour matters in a work environment. Understands budgeting and cost management. Understands how to effectively plan and manage business operations including service delivery. Knowledge and understanding of the flow of goods through a logistics process
