RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established, international organisation in the TRAVEL INDUSTRY to recruit an OPERATIONS/CUSTOMER RELATIONS EXECUTIVE to be based at their offices in DURBAN . Market related, negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
Please note that experience in the travel industry is essential.
OUR CLIENT, ESTABLISHED OVER 50 YEARS AGO, PROVIDES UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAYS IN AFRICA AND SOUTH ASIA.
The ideal candidate should have/be the following:
A qualification relevant to the travel industry, an advantage.
A service-oriented approach.
Familiar with reservations processes and procedures.
A high command of the Travelport GDS (global distribution system).
An excellent telephone manner.
A good command of the English language.
Key responsibilities, but not limited to:
Create PNR (passenger name record) bookings from scratch.
Travelport queue management.
Do ticketing and ticketing reissues.
Action and confirm special ticketing requests.
Reply to and action email queries from clients, agents and suppliers.
Check/confirm bookings that have been made (accommodation, flights and ground handlers).
Keep all parties informed of the progress with bookings, in writing.
Generate and send travel documents to clients.
Direct invoices from service providers to HO.
Working Hours During SA Summer:
11:00 20:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.
11:00 16:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch
Not required to work on UK public holidays (10).
Will be required to work on SA public holidays.
Leave: 20 working days leave per a year.
Working Hours During SA Winter:
10:00 19:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.
10:00 15:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch
Remuneration:
Market related, negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience.
