R55 000 to R72 000 Per Month Highly negotiable and dependent on qualification and years of relevant experience
Our Client, a Global Strategic Management Consulting Firm is currently expanding and in search of a bright, resourceful and tenacious professional to join their dynamic Business Development team.
The main purpose of the role is to provide the business with intelligence, strategic content and positioning advice to win work within in both the public and donor funding sector and in line with the companys growth strategy.
One would describe you as a driven, resourceful, analytical and highly organized business development profession who possesses solid business acumen. You are an excellent writer who pays strong attention to detail. Further to this, you are highly organized in meeting set deadlines across multiple projects as well as come with proven networking skills.
This position reports to the BD Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3-year graduate qualification in any related field
- 5+ Years proven business development experience with at least 3 years business development experience in public sector and donor funding tender , preferably World Bank, African Development Bank, FCDO and others, response-based environment
- Experience within a business development team operating in a delivery and advisory capacity
- Experience and exposure to CRM systems and business development tools
- Experience in developing marketing collateral
- Prove research skills and knowledge of pricing and competitor strategy analysis
- Proven project budgetary management skills
- Proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
B D Systems and Processes:
- Input and maintain information on business development systems and tools (e.g., CRM, opportunities portal, credentials database)
- Manage and maintain data for reports against targets
Bid Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals
- Advise practices on selection and approach to achieving winning bids
- Advise business on tender quality improvement and implement solutions to address
- Assist in the development of expressions of interest, requests for proposals, capability statements, concept notes, etc.
- Analyse tender results and provide intelligence to adjust business development approach
Market Intelligence:
- Support the identification of new growth areas necessary to achieve long-term targets
- Analyse current market opportunities and review key clients, geographies, and strategies
- Support market intelligence research, compilation of the BD publication and maintenance of Teams site
- Keep abreast of trends in global and regional agendas and stay up to date with sector discourses and associated work
Marketing:
- Create marketing material for business development activities
- Develop strategically positioned business development content
- Support internal and external communications alignment with BD priorities
