Role Purpose/Business Unit:
Contribute to the success of Vodacom Financial Services Digital Operating Model, aiming to establish us as a leading digital financial services company. Ensure that user requirements are technically understood, documented, developed, tested, and delivered in line with user expectations within an agile environment. This role involves creating and estimating business requirements, user stories, technical stories and stakeholder management.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support Portfolio Managers: Assist in research, scoping, analysis, and design activities.
- Business Analysis & Design: Assess requirements for the Lending team in Vodacom Financial Services, evaluating feasibility, impact, and cost. Create and compile accurate user stories, derive business rules, map customer journeys, and define MVPs, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Estimate & Prioritize: Estimate user and technical stories to inform and prioritise the backlog.
- Technical Input: Provide technical input into system definition and design activities, facilitating the delivery of value-added solutions.
- Industry Research: Investigate current industry trends and standards in deployed/planned technologies to enhance and optimise systems.
- Technical Liaison: Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring support from all areas for quality solution delivery.
- Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered according to requirements and specified designs, aligning technical and business teams around common objectives and deliverables.
- Agile Processes: Support technical scrum teams in delivering solutions, including configuration, testing, and rollout coordination.
- Best Practices: Research, define, and maintain industry best practices.
- Process Optimization: Maintain, re-evaluate, optimize, or automate existing business processes.
- Reporting & QA: Create reports and provide feedback to executive and line management. Perform quality assurance on business analysis documentation, vendor documentation, proposals, technical designs, test documentation, and operational handover documentation.
- Agile Participation: Participate in all key agile ceremonies within the team to contribute to successful delivery.
The Ideal Candidate for this role will have: Must have technical / professional qualifications: - Matric
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or similar
- 5+ years of business analysis
- Advanced Certification in Business Analysis
Core competencies, knowledge and experience: - Experience in Airtime Credit, financial services and related business processes.
- Proficiency in business analysis, data analysis and reporting tools and methodologies.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, with proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and to work independently and as part of a team.
