We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to manage and develop our global team of environmental project managers and administrators, delivering top-quality services to our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental legislative processes and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs).
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and its impact on projects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary specialists and perform strenuous fieldwork.
- Liaise with clients and authorities, and compile and write comprehensive reports.
- Maintain high-quality standards and continuously improve departmental services.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development of the team.
- Manage departmental performance, financial expenditure, workload, and resource allocation.
- Achieve revenue targets and develop business plans for service offerings.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities, acting as a key account manager.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding and practical experience with environmental and social legislation.
- Superior ESIA and EMP report writing skills.
- Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and managing project teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-centric skills.
- Financial awareness and ability to manage projects within budget.
- Strong business acumen and time management abilities.
- Postgraduate degree in Environmental Management or similar.
- Project Management Certificate and professional registration with EAPASA, BEAPA, NEMC, or equivalent body is beneficial.
- Eight or more years in the relevant field, preferably within consulting.
- Extensive experience in project managing international environmental and/or social projects.
- At least five years of exposure to the mining industry and five or more years of management experience, including managing teams of 5+ staff.
