To be responsible for business development and marketing of Global Markets product capability to designated private wealth, financial advisors, intermediaries, and discretionary fund managers. Identify structuring opportunities for growing the distribution into Private Wealth and corporate & Business Prospects, generating referrals through other channels. Provide specialist product and digital support to its client segment to assist in marketing Standard Bank's Global Markets Retail Products. Maintain and grow intermediaries and introducers network.

Experience Required
8-10 years
At least 8 years' experience in direct global markets product sales and utilisation of trusts and other structuring vehicles. Strong financial acumen in order to formulate financial solutions that are client-focused and profitable to the Group. Ability to identify structuring opportunities, presenting structuring proposals and executing such structures for holding personal assets of Wealth and Investment clients or for organising the ownership structure of closely held business enterprises.
Essential Functions
- Achieve new clients target for the Global Markets division as agreed with the Head of Global Markets Retail Investment.
- Achieve revenue target associated with new clients for the Global Markets division as agreed with the Head of Global Markets Retail Investment.
- Build and maintain relationship with existing intermediary network with the objective of seeking new investment business.
- Build credibility across all levels within and external to the investment, discretionary, global markets division via the skillful application of specialist knowledge and relationship building skills.
- Gain leads and access to strategically influential stakeholders in corporate organisations in order to introduce them to the benefits of the global markets business.
- Identify and manage business risk indicators for clients and the bank by ensuring that products and service offerings are packaged and structured to minimise risk to protect the interest of both parties.
- Identify new investment client needs and facilitate suitable global markets products to meet their requirements.
- Identify new intermediaries and business introducers with a view to offer suitable global markets products to their clients in the most beneficial manner possible.
