SALES SUPPORT CONSULTANT: TIED AGENCY DISTRIBUTION
The Tied Agency Distribution department has opportunities for a Sales Support Consultant to join their team in Sanlam Head Office based in Bellville.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the Sales Team, Senior Business Development Manager and Operations Manager in the Tied Agency Distribution department in Santam.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFULL
- Effectively solve escalations/complaints and the management of expectations whilst utilising available resources, including referral to other stakeholders/departments.
- Offer administration and business support in facilitating the completion of requests within published service level agreements.
- Formulate structured reports to Snr BDM’s, BDM’s and practices.
- Co-ordinate training schedules with the various product providers.
- Co-ordinate and manage logistics of workshops and development days.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate marketing & branding requests from advisers & BDM’s.
- Responsible for internal project related communications.
- Offer support to Operations team wrt STA commission file processing.
Secondary responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Administration support to the BDM’s, Senior BDM and Operations Manager.
- Manage the diary of a Senior BDM by scheduling appointments and following up on diary requests to ensure appropriate and constructive allocation of time.
- Timeous and accurate scheduling of meetings ensuring that venues and appropriate facilities have been arranged.
- Draft minutes of meetings as and when required, including following up on action list.
Travel Co-ordination:
- Co-ordinate travel arrangements of Senior BDM.
- Ensure adherence to Santam group travel and procurement policies.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A business related tertiary qualification (such as a B-degree, diploma or Marketing or Business qualification).
- Experience in engagement with key business and external partners across all levels (including senior levels) on behalf of the line manager / Senior BDM.
- At least three years’ experience in business reporting, including: extracting and verifying data from different sources, drafting and delivering reports to Management while adhering to strict deadlines as well as summarizing insights, results, and findings.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Computer literate (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint).
- Project and/or process management skills.
- Knowledge of the Short Term Insurance products and services and policies.
- 2-3 years’ experience in insurance underwriting would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of workflow system would be beneficial.
- Strong co-ordination, organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Results orientated, pro-active and deadline driven.
