MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To facilitate the implementation of the Seda incubation strategy, capacitate and support technology business incubators to ensure the development of competitive and sustainable enterprises.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Provide operational support in the establishment of technology business incubation and accelerators in accordance with Seda’s Incubation.
- Provide operational support to existing and new technology business incubators (TBI’s) and accelerators.
- Monitor and evaluate TBI’s and accelerators performance and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Network and build effective linkages with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the effective performance and efficiency levels of a portfolio of incubators/accelerators.
- Facilitate and/or provide mentoring and coaching of incubators.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
- Matric (NQF Level 4) plus a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Operations Management or Business Management or Incubation Management or Entrepreneurship Management or Project Management or Computer Science.
- Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Operations Management or Business Management or Incubation Management or Entrepreneurship Management or Computer Science or Project Management as added advantage.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 4-6 years’ experience in Enterprise Development/Technology Business Incubation and Business Advising.
- Proven experience in an innovation and technology-driven industry or organization.
- Experience in assessing the viability and sustainability of small enterprises.
- In-depth understanding of the enterprise development and incubation/accelerators ecosystem.
- Advanced Computer literacy - MS Office and MS Projects.
- Valid South African Drivers Licence.
