Safety, Health and Environment Manager
Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Safety, Health and Environment Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a SHE Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, directing and implementing organisational safety, health, and environmental programmes.
- Developing a SHE operational plan in accordance with set targets.
- Developing and implementing a sustainability strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Ensuring compliance across all sites to occupational health and safety legislation.
- Keeping abreast of updates in occupational health and safety legislation and advising management accordingly.
- Monitoring and maintaining the SHE management systems.
- Being the management representative for the ISO 14001 and OHAS 18001 systems.
- Conducting, reporting, and following up on pre-use, safety and/or audit inspections including Risk Control.
- Ensuring a safe, secure, and legal working environment.
- Managing individual, team, and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (Safety Management).
- ISO 14001 (Internal Auditor).
- SAMTRAC, ESG & sustainability certificate.
- 6-8 years relevant safety, health, and environmental experience.
