Our client a well-known FMCG company in Durban Highway area is looking for a Financial Accountant for a short-term maternity cover contract. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple financial responsibilities effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and management of various budgets
- Preparing and compiling monthly operations reports
- Handling calculations for management fees, dividends, and taxes
- Managing end-of-month financial packs
- Conducting monthly cost analysis and processing for factory and distribution expenses
- Maintaining and updating key schedules, including Waste, R/kg, tonnage, and gainshare
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Managing the Profit Estimate File
- Updating and completing distribution and closure income statements
- Handling capital expenditure (Capex), including asset capitalization, scrapping, and depreciation tracking
- Processing and reconciling HPs, maintaining the HP schedule
- Preparing and processing financial journals
- Maintaining general filing and housekeeping tasks
- Assisting with any additional ad-hoc tasks as required
Key Requirements:
- Financial degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience
