Work content / requirements:
Capturing of digital invoices and bills.
Processing automated bank feeds.
Reconcile interim, interco, salary control and VAT and control accounts.
Capture monthly payroll ledgers and tax returns.
Assist with preparation of income tax schedules, computing of taxable income.
Assist with verifications of returns and supporting documents.
Supervising new employees and training them.
Participating in professional development proposed by the employer.
Reporting, updating and cooperating with the direct supervisor.
Phoning SARS, preparation of correspondence (clients, general stakeholders).
Time management skills required.
Accounting systems:
SA accounting software (XERO).
German accounting software (HMD, DATEV).
Clients processed remotely: German and Youth African based.
Remote working via VPN.
Companies & Sole proprietors, small to medium size private entities.
Roughly 35 client portfolios processed per accountant.
Underlying GAAP: SA, German, IFRS, Income Tax, VAT.
Tax frame: German & SA income tax, VAT.
Language:
English.
Afrikaans (useful).
German (desired).
Workplace:
Independent but in-house in shared office with approx. 8 colleagues.
Hout Bay (Viktorskloof).
Own PC-Workplace, 3 flatscreens 28", English keyboard, Telephone.
Monday to Friday, 8 hrs from 8:00 am.
