Retail Leasing Manager
Our client is known for their expertise in asset management, property development, and retail leasing, and is looking to appoint a Retail Leasing Manager. The ideal candidate will come with 4 - 5 years of experience in retail leasing and a proven record of securing national, international, or niche tenants.

Duties & Responsibilities
- In charge of all leasing operations, including the review and negotiation of lease transactions and agreements.
- Responsible for leasing both existing and newly developed retail spaces to maintain and increase market share.
- Support leasing strategy and project direction.
- Manage retail unit rental for maximum occupancy and premium rental levels.
- Engage with tenants to maintain high-quality tenancy.
- Set and achieve budget rental income targets.
- Undertake direct leasing negotiations with prospective tenants.
- Prepare and review tenancy mix for optimum retail asset performance.
- Provide regular leasing progress reports to Divisional Director.
- Maximize rental income and lease terms through negotiations.
- Ensure leasing targets are met for existing portfolio and new developments.
- Activate leasing promptly to minimize vacancy downtime.
- Maintain relationships with tenants and industry professionals.
- Actively source and secure desired retailers.
- Maintain and review prospective tenant database.
- Conduct market research on new brands and retail trends.
- Monitor competitor developments, rentals, and major deals.
- Review and evaluate shopper profile mix impact on retail sector.
- Stay updated on market changes and build industry network.
- Manage tenant paperwork and lease documentation accurately.
- Oversee deals from inception to completion, including handover meetings.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Retail Management will be advantageous.
- Essential: Registered and hold an active FFC.
- Hold a SACSC Certificate.
- 4-5 years of proven expertise in retail leasing with a track record of success, including achieving leases with national, international, or niche tenants.
- Previous experience in retail leasing within a new development setting, managing centers exceeding 20,000m² in size.
- Valid Driver’s License.
