Our customer is a multi-disciplinary engineering solution provider serving the air pollution, energy, metallurgical, manufacturing, chemical, and infrastructure industries. The company is currently active with projects in South Africa, Europe, South America, Asia, and the Middle East.
The Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer designs, develops, tests, and supervises the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of equipment, components, or systems for commercial and industrial use.
Duties & Responsibilities
Education Level: Applicable degree from a recognised institution
Location: Centurion, South Africa
Experience: 15+ years’ experience in the Electrical and Instrumentation fields.
General:
- Develop complex engineering solutions and associated deliverables.
- Verify detailed design calculations.
- Supervise or train project team members as necessary.
Financial services: - Prepare specifications for purchases of materials or equipment.
- Prepare cost estimates for electrical design, equipment, and installation works.
- Estimate labour, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
- Prepare tender Scope of Works / Scope of Supply documentation.
- Procurement Actual cost vs Tender cost tracking.
Task planning and time management: - Provide accurate and realistic task or deliverable estimations.
- Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Internal and external quality management: - Ensure quality assurance and control of instrumentation and control deliverables, equipment, and installations.
- Compile ITP and QCP documentation for internal and external use.
