Assistant Front Office Manager
Cape Town
You are a vibrant, energetic, and experienced Assistant Front Office Manager who will be responsible for supervising all duties of the front office staff and ensuring that every one of our guests receives personalised attention every time.
While delighting our guests by offering trendsetting, innovative products and outstanding service experiences, you will ensure sufficient and strict control of petty cash and float.
Part of your role as an Assistant Front Office Manager will be to set and uphold front office service standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting regular guest service and standards training with the staff, showcasing your leadership and training skills.
You will lead teams of people, fostering teamwork and personal accountability. Your role is instrumental in promoting staff engagement and retention as you manage staff processes such as personal presentation, recruitment, performance, and conduct.
Along with your Matric Certificate, you have a hospitality qualification from a recognised South African or International Educational Institution with 3 years' experience in a similar role in a busy, up-market hotel. You have a background in using technology including micros, opera / speed point machine, MS 365 with a track record leading and managing large teams.
You are flexible, can work and fulfil duty management shifts, and have a valid driver's license.
You are a neat, professional individual with a passion for the hospitality industry. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and a deep knowledge of food and beverages, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
Your understanding of our hotel's unique offerings, competitors, and the local city will be invaluable as you lead and manage a team to success. With strong financial management and selling skills, you will drive revenue while working independently and using your initiative to solve challenges creatively.
