The e-Learning Content Developer / Instructional Designer , reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, will be responsible for developing interactive and informative learning modules, available to the employees both in-person and online.
This is a hybrid position Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. There will be a minimum of 3 days a week in-office requirement. Note this is a fixed duration contract from 1 November or 1 December for a period of 7 months.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Designing programmes in conjunction with relevant subject matter experts.
- Interviewing and observing operational realities to create fit-for-purpose learning programmes.
- Researching and collating content to address identified business learning needs.
- Developing suitable learning interventions (written, visual and video creation) as derived from learning needs.
- Aligning interventions to organisational metrics and needs.
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining training plans.
- Administrating of an LMS eFront (content administration).
- Compiling of assessment.
- Testing and carrying out quality assurance of learning materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Industrial Psychology, Project Management, Instructional Design, PGCE.
- At least 3 years' experience as an E-Learning Content Developer/Instructional Designer in a relevant field of studies – Learning Experience Designer/Graphic Design (Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, video creation and editing).
- Experience with Articulate 360, Canva or related e-Learning content creation software.
- Basic knowledge of HTML.
- Proficiency with content management software.
- Experience with developing competency-based professional learning programmes is essential.
- Setting up tests/assessments for professional growth.
- Photoshop proficiency.
- Experience in educational video creation.
- Digital communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team.
