Our client is one of the most prestigious wineries in the world, and they are looking for a Sous Chef to join their team in Cape Town - Stellenbosch.
As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to manage the daily kitchen activities. If you have strong leadership skills to assist in managing the staff, an eye for detail, and can deliver quality and freshness in all meals prepared, then this is the position for you.
You will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef. You will need to provide the Junior staff with guidance and assistance with their preparation and line cooking.
You will be required to train and assess the staff in the kitchen. You will supervise the food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and standards are met.
Requirements for the position:
- Culinary Diploma
- 4 Years experience in a senior chef role preferable
- Own Transport
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written & oral communication
- Attention to detail
- Availability to work within opening hours
