Job Profile Summary:
As a Creative Content Writer, you will be operating in the Branding and Communication Team in our Richmond office, and you will be responsible for crafting internal communications related to the company transformation process and initiatives for all Derivco offices globally. You’ll be the voice of Derivco, translating the vision and strategy set forth by our CEO, C-Suite, and other key stakeholders to make complex concepts crystal clear and engaging for our diverse team of over 2,000 employees across 14 global locations.
You will be tasked with creating compelling, persuasive, engaging, and informative internal communication content to drive and influence engagement, business results, and culture within Derivco.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clear, concise, and creative copy for various internal communication platforms.
- Develop key messages, headlines, taglines, and body copy that capture the brand's tone of voice, principles, vision, and purpose.
- Collaborate with designers, internal comms specialists, and event managers to produce visually appealing content that is easily understood by the audience across all locations.
- Conduct research to understand the target audience, industry trends, and competitors, ensuring alignment with the communication plan.
- Gain a deep understanding of the brand, its products and services, business and marketing goals, and processes.
- Create content that resonates with the target audience and drives business results.
- Write, proofread, edit, and refine copy to ensure clarity, coherence, and maximum impact.
- Manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Understand the business problem statement through research, metrics, networking, interviews, and survey feedback to gather content ideas and findings.
- Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and style across all internal communications.
What You Will Need:
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
- Understanding of employee engagement, motivation, and behaviour change principles, with the ability to use influencer methods in writing style for communications.
- Familiarity with corporate communication fundamentals and practices.
- Knowledge of brand tone, voice, and style guidelines.
- Experience with content management systems and digital communication tools.
- Creativity, imagination, and innovative thinking.
- Strong research, analytical, and interviewing skills.
- 2-4 years of experience in creative writing, copywriting and internal communications.
- Experience working with graphic and multimedia designers, internal comms, and event coordinators.
