RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Health Administrator role is to ensure that all work related to medical aid and gap cover administration is done efficiently and timeously in accordance with company and medical scheme/insurer guidelines. The health administrator will take instructions from the financial planner, medical scheme, gap cover product provider and the client directly. The role of the health administrator is to assist the planner with their administrative duties together with new business and be the link between the planner, the client and the medical scheme or gap cover provider.
- Handle telephone calls, both incoming and outgoing, including call centres.
- Gap cover claims handling, new business and alterations.
- Medical scheme, new business, tax certificates and alterations.
- Medical aid review assistance.
- Workpool: Create tasks, create child tasks, manage tasks, make notes on existing tasks, transfer tasks and complete tasks.
- Send and receive emails.
- Update new business and cancellation registers.
- Mentor junior staff and assist with training and development when required.
- Support the planner to attract and retain clients / Build relationships / Cross-selling.
- Compliance.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving knowledge in this area and staying abreast of industry and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Workpool and Google Docs.
- Industry related Qualification.
- Industry related Experience.
