The key purpose of this role is to provide professional financial advice to clients as an accredited PPS representative. You will represent PPS as an advice representative on the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) representative register. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, dialing, connecting, meeting, upselling, cross-selling, and growing a client base of eligible graduate professionals through the implementation of PPS financial solutions in line with the client’s needs and wants.
This is a 24-month graduate internship programme for NQF level 7 or higher graduates under age 35.
The office locations for this position of an onsite work setting are: Parktown (border Killarney), Umhlanga Ridge Durban, Newton Park Port Elizabeth and Newlands or Durbanville Cape Town.
Successful completion of the programme will open the door to a career as a commission-earning financial adviser focused on long-term insurance and investments and servicing only the post-graduate student and professional market to protect their dreams, goals and wealth.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Completed Degree on NQF level 7 (equivalent to a bachelor's degree or an advanced diploma in South Africa (non-negotiable minimum requirement)
- Preference will be given to Post Graduate Diploma/Honours in Financial Planning
Experience:
- None required – graduate position

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
- Find prospective clients – lead generation
- Call prospective clients – cold calling
- Build a professional network and sustainable business within the graduate professional market (both in person and on social media)
- Meet with prospective clients in-person and virtually
- Prepare and present proposals & solutions to prospective clients
- Prospective client onboarding and after sales care
- Provide financial advice and implementation to prospective clients
- Provide suitable advice to best fit the needs and requirements of graduate professionals
- Set up small worksite marketing events at client offices
- Build a book of clients for yourself.
