Job Title: Junior Financial Advisor
Reporting To: Regional Head
Purpose of the Job:
The Junior Financial Advisor plays a pivotal role in contributing to the overall profitability of the business by supporting advisory partners with documentation and compliance requirements for both existing and new clients. This position requires a proactive individual with a solid understanding of administrative systems, enabling the secure acquisition of new business. The Junior Financial Advisor will engage with a diverse range of high-profile clients across South Africa and leverage their networks to create leads and develop potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist advisory partners with the preparation and organization of client documentation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain a high level of understanding of administrative processes, including documentation, mandates, and service providers.
- Build and nurture trusting relationships with new and prospective clients, working under the supervision of senior advisors.
- Contribute to strategic discussions aimed at growing the business and enhancing service delivery benchmarks.
- Identify new client opportunities for Citadel and actively seek referrals from existing clients.
- Engage in continuous business development to attract new business and facilitate top-ups from existing clients.
- Provide clients with financial roadmaps and investment solutions while managing their wealth through effective advice and implementation of changes.
- Organize and participate in prospecting events to build and maintain quality client relationships.
- Attend bi-annual client meetings to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Financial Planner designation or currently in the process of obtaining it.
- Postgraduate diploma in financial planning with board exam completion or in progress.
- Completion of regulatory exams (RE) and class of business training.
- Active engagement in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and attendance at internal training sessions.
- Previous exposure to supervisory requirements related to Cat 1 and Cat 2 registration is advantageous.
