ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: - Applicant must have completed doctoral degree within the last five years;
- Must have graduated with a PhD degree in Applied English Linguistics, English Language Studies
- Preference is given to women, particularly South African Citizens and SA permanent residents
- Must be a young and emerging scholar, and
- Must have evidence of publications in DHET accredited journals (minimum of 3 publications will be an added advantage).
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO: - Undertake independent research and participate in the research activities of the Department of English Studies and Comparative Literature;
- Publish a minimum of three (3) journal articles in DHET accredited journals per annum, and
- Contribute to the research productivity of postgraduate students as well as the Department of English Studies and Comparative Literature.
VALUE OF THE FELLOWSHIP: R300, 000 annual fellowship.
