Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Facilities Manager to join our dynamic Operations team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of facilities management experience, preferably within the retail sector. As a Retail Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and maintenance aspects of our retail convenience centers, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operations of retail properties.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Manage service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Budgeting and financial management for property maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and initiate necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Work closely with tenants and stakeholders to maintain high standards of property services.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Report to senior management on the status of the properties and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in facilities management, preferably within the retail property sector.
- Strong understanding of building systems and maintenance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
