Project Manager (Principal)
Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Project Manager (Principal). Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple complex projects and programs as the key client interface.
- Manage cost, commercial matters, quality, resourcing, scheduling, and technical matters during the project lifecycle to meet client's requirements.
- Compile and review contracts and agreements (JBCC, GCC, NEC, FIDIC).
- Build and maintain external stakeholder relationships through networking, ongoing communication, and pitching ideas.
- Project and Programme Management, Contract Administration.
- Manage multi-disciplinary professional service providers.
- Co-ordinate and integrate activities internally and externally.
- Source new work and negotiate contracts with clients.
- Provide technical advice to clients, especially regarding infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation for planning and implementing infrastructure and housing projects.
- Budgeting and maximizing sustainable revenue streams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum BSc, Beng, or BTech qualification in the Built Environment degree.
- Project Management related qualification will be an added advantage.
- Postgrad in Project Management, Business, or Legal related studies will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with at least 5 years' experience in complex building and/or infrastructure projects.
- Professional registration as a Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) required.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of and experience in the built environment, planning processes, statutory approval processes in obtaining development rights, and government policies.
- Experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary professional teams, including mentoring junior staff members.
- Experience in compiling and submitting tenders and proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Salary negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications and years of relevant experience.
