HR & PAYROLL ASSISTANT (RETAIL / SUPPLY CHAIN)
Location: ETHEKWINI, DURBAN, KWAZULU NATAL
(Candidates residing in Verulam, Ballito, Durban Central & Umlazi will be considered)
Minimum Essential Qualifications:
- Matric
- B. Comm Degree (HR Management / Industrial Psychology) or relevant degree level education. (Essential)
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ post qualification experience HR & Payroll Administrative or Assistant role with exposure to various aspects of the HR / Payroll employee lifecycle
- Experience in delivering HR & Payroll administration, support, and service delivery functions
- Experience in completion and submission of timeous and accurate weekly & monthly payroll and leave
- Experience in preparing / observing IR & CCMA matters
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employment documents
- Highly experienced on SAP (Advantageous)
- Proficient on all MS Office packages with advanced computer literacy
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to plan and organise activities, events and projects
- Effective HR administration and people management skills
Duties & Responsibilities
HR Assistant will be reporting to the Divisional People Partner
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:
- Assisting third parties with "confirmation of employment" queries
- Capturing all employment applications on SAP for "check" purposes and feeding back results of the same to the branches
- Scanning all requisite employment documentation into SAP
- Generating all employment contracts and recording the movement thereof
- Generating staff letters/certificates when necessary: Appointments, long service, etc
- Arranging psychometric testing for management appointments and the feedback of results
- Capturing annual leave and sick leave on SAP for HO employees
- Assisting generally with leave quota queries
- Processing payroll & leave
- Formulating management reports: Driver Overtime, Staff Incentives, Productivity
- Liaising with payroll: Head Office Incentives
- Generating/sending to branches birthday lists for all employees
- HO record keeping: Recruited drivers’ tenure, Expat Flight requests, Indemnity Agreements, Learnerships
- Receiving/capturing training information on SAP for all employees, including learnerships.
- Dealing with all training stats related queries, including learnerships
- Running/processing the required training reports on SAP
- Assists generally with any/all HR tasks when required to do so
