The client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Administrator for a half-day position to manage their payroll, accounts, and financial administration for three small connected legal entities .
The ideal candidate will have experience with Pastel accounting software and an excellent understanding of South African Labor Laws and Tax Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process monthly payroll for 20 employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses and deductions.
- Manage PAYE, UIF and SDL submissions.
- Maintain employee records and update payroll information.
- Administer Workmen’s Compensation claims when required.
- Manage year-end roll over and PAYE reconciliation annually.
Accounts Administration:
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including invoicing and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
General Administration:
- Provide financial administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Maintain filing systems (physical and electronic).
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with internal audits.
