Raw Material Quality Assurance Specialist
Are you passionate about ensuring the quality and availability of raw materials in a fast-paced food processing environment? We are seeking a skilled Raw Material Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and approve new raw materials, including paperwork and samples
- Prioritize existing raw materials for testing in the lab
- Troubleshoot existing raw materials and update specifications as needed
- Coordinate raw material sampling and irradiated material releasing
- Prepare raw materials for external testing according to the analysis program
- Collaborate with other departments on new raw material purchases
- Assist other roles in the department as required
Complexity
Evaluate new raw materials against legislative, food safety, and internal requirements. Make decisions on deviating raw materials received.
Precision and Accuracy
Ensure accurate decisions on raw materials to prevent product rejection, production downtimes, customer complaints, and food safety issues.
Pressure
Work in a high-pressure environment connected to production outputs and decision-making on deviating raw materials.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- B.Sc Food Science
- B.Tech Chemistry
Knowledge and Experience
- 3-5 years' working experience in a related field
- Experience in food analysis (Lab analysis)
- Familiarity with food safety/quality standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO9001)
- Strong supervisory and teamwork skills
