Export Sales Manager
We are looking for an Export Sales Manager to manage and develop the Automotive and Industrial export sales into Africa and abroad in accordance with the relevant structures within the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Export agreements – control.
- New agent in export countries development – to include new agreements and SLA’s.
- Market research – develop and apply market share statistics for export markets.
- Liaise and work closely with the logistics department on expediting export orders.
- Liaise and work closely with manufacturing on order fulfilment.
- Identify new markets to export to.
- Identify new products to add to the basket of products offered in export.
- Manage and control pricing strategies into the export markets.
- Manage the sales margins and costs of the export sales division.
- Set budgets and aspirations to grow the export sales responsibly.
- Work closely with aftermarket sales to balance capacity.
- Product and warranty training.
- Technical skills and ability to grasp technical concepts.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- BCom Marketing / NDip Marketing and Sales or relevant tertiary business qualification.
- Export qualification.
- Export Sales Management experience - 5 years export sales environment.
- Understanding of export documentation, cross border duties and regulations and the effect on exporting.
- Proper understanding of Incoterms and the effect on the costing of export orders.
- Knowledge of various different financial payment methods for exports.
- The ability to communicate in French, Portuguese or German will be a distinct advantage. English obviously being the dominant language.
- Presentation skills.
- Travel experience in Africa, extensive travel is required.
- Knowledge of the automotive and industrial environments is advantageous.
