Payroll Administrator
Top Isando Engineering company requires the services of a payroll administrator who is competent on salaries and wages. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all employees within the group of companies are paid in an accurate and timely fashion.
The payroll administrator will process payroll using Sage 300 ERP, prepare payroll banking, prepare all payroll-related reporting, and be responsible for all statutory compliance and reporting where payroll is concerned.
The payroll administrator will perform various accounting and ad hoc finance administration tasks as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and recruit pay slips on the Sage system to accompany offers of employment.
- Send biometric reports to functional department leads and managers on a Monday to enable them to approve timesheets.
- Submit monthly UI-19 report to the Department of Labor.
- Maintain employee recipient folders on the banking system.
- Load and manage employee loans on the payroll system.
- Manage privately paid employee contributions on the payroll system.
- Review time and attendance information and investigate discrepancies with the payroll system.
- Process bi-weekly wages and monthly salaries for all employees within the group according to the agreed timeline as per the payroll processing checklist.
- Update Sage license monthly after salary processing.
- Prepare and submit EMP501 bi-annually.
- Issue IRP5 certificates to employees.
- Audit EVP interest clubs with the club captain and deduct reimbursements due from employees.
- Ensure organizational compliance with statutory and labor laws.
- Maintain performance and project bonus working sheets.
- Capture salary costs in the project management system against relevant projects/project budgets.
- Assist Finance department with ad hoc admin duties, including filing, general administration, and debtors/creditors overflow.
- Ensure all new employees’ bank details are loaded on the banking system.
- Maintain resource billing rates and distribute them to relevant persons.
- Maintain company multiplier as part of month-end procedure.
- Maintain increase schedule and review worksheets as part of month-end procedure.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Applicants must have a matric certificate or an N4 or equivalent qualification and a minimum of 5 to 10 years payroll admin experience. Sage experience would be advantageous.
Package & Remuneration
R23K - R26K per month. The company has no benefits.
