Logistics Warehouse Manager
We are recruiting for a Logistics Warehouse Manager to join our dynamic team. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for receiving and storing products by designing and developing product movement and storage systems, improving operations, and managing staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
- Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating and recommending new equipment.
- Develops warehouse operations system improvements by analysing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, implementing changes.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, coordinating patrols with security department.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes warehouse operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Other related work required by the company.
Warehouse Manager also needs to be or must do:
- Managing Processes, People Management, Supervision, Data Entry, Data Entry Management, Data Processing, Dependability, Reporting, Analysing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented.
- Managing transport supervisor to update all transportation companies, including booking, pre-advise etc for train and truck transportation and related work.
- Managing transport supervisor to request and collect all transport invoices, update transport company documents in a timely manner, and online enter work to ensure that sales and finance can complete the update of the balance sheet and related work in a timely manner.
- Managing transport supervisor to review and apply for payment of a series of invoices for trains, trucks, etc and related work.
- Managing transport supervisor to organise new transportation company applications for the use of audit work and archives it, including the signing of the transport agreement by the director and the complete provision of materials.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum Grade 12 and Bachelor's Degree in the above-mentioned field.
- 3 to 5 years Experience.
- Must be Computer Literate.
- Must have Logistics Warehouse Experience.
- Must have Knowledge of Warehouse Operations System.
- Must have Knowledge of Exports and Imports process.
