We are looking for a talented Commis Chef to support our high-end kitchen team. This role is perfect for a dedicated chef with a passion for culinary excellence and a background in high-quality dining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff, and maintain high service standards.
- Assist in menu development, food preparation, plating, and presentation.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Efficiently coordinate tasks, manage pressure, and adapt to seasonal menu changes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Culinary diploma or certificate preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a restaurant.
- Basic skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and use of kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and proper storage.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain quality control.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from senior chefs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
