SmartPro are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations of this award winning client in the Swansea area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, supply chain management, and quality control practices.
Duties of the Production Manager:
- Manage daily production activities to ensure targets are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilise LEAN skills and experience to improve processes and support LEAN activities on site.
- Ensuring that improvements to product / process are documented and aligned with ISO and GMP requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise business processes and resolve any operational issues.
- Report on weekly and monthly KPI metrics to Senior Management.
- Monitor production objectives and compile action plans to achieve targets
- Utilise SAP systems for tracking production metrics and reporting on performance outcomes.
Experience
- Extensive experience in a production management role within in a fast paced and complex environment
- Knowledge and understanding of GMP standards within area of operation.
- Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving operational goals.
