Our client, an international mining company, has an opportunity for a highly qualified and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join their company in their Sandton offices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring all monthly, quarterly and year end deadlines are met.
- Required to work on the 1st-7th day of each month no matter what day of the week it is.
- Managing the external auditors.
- Assisting with the quarterly board reporting and monthly group reporting on HFM.
- Assisting with the accounting of key areas such as share based payments, hedging, borrowing costs, decommissioning and restoration and ensuring compliance with DMRE regulations around the same.
- Assisting with the impairment modelling for all operating assets.
Experience & Qualifications
- CA(SA).
- 5 - 8 years post article experience in a finance reporting role.
- Strong IFRS knowledge.
- Experienced in preparing financial statements.
- Advantageous Experience: Internal control, SAP, Sage, Caseware and Mining industry.
- Problem solver, strong communicator & relationship builder.
- Team player, proactive, creative & innovative.
