Qualifications and experience:
A health professional degree with specialist qualification or a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate discipline completed or near completion.
- Experience in teaching in biological anthropology/morphological anatomy at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Participation in curriculum development and assessment will be an advantage.
- DOHET/ISI-accredited publications of manuscripts which demonstrates scholarly ability. A proven track record in research will be an advantage.
- Academic administrative experience and membership of Faculty/University level committees.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Assist with the teaching and practical/dissection duties of biological anthropology/morphological anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Participate in course/program administration, curriculum review and development as well as accreditation processes.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research in the School of Anatomical Sciences.
- Generate research papers and participate in research at the School of Anatomical Sciences.
- Participate in the academic activities of the School, Faculty and the University as necessary.
Remuneration:
Dependent on qualifications and experience. The package includes a provident fund, medical aid, and bursaries for self and dependents, subject to University’s regulations.
