Well known Inbound DMC is looking for an Intermediate Operations Specialist – Rest of the World, to fill an administrative financial operations role in the booking process, firstly as a support to the Travel Designers / UK Operations team and being responsible for supplier payments for each booking. To ensure that all services booked are paid for accurately, efficiently, timeously and with zero errors.
This position is based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with travel designers / UK Operations Team and suppliers on all bookings in an operational and financial capacity
- Communicate continuously with suppliers and internal sales and operations support teams to build trust and provide excellent support to the UK Teams
- Keep all booking information updated in the system ensuring CRM is continually up to date.
- Keep updated with all Wilderness and Associated product updates, as well as technology updates
- Attend all Product training on a weekly basis, this knowledge facilitates exceeding expectations and accuracy in the booking process
- Keep abreast with company policies, procedures and system updates
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism / Hospitality.
- At least 4-5 years’ experience in an operations / administration role in the travel industry
- Experience in handling customer relationships and developing & promoting product and services in the inbound travel industry.
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, Email, Teams, Internet browsers)
- Proven English literacy.
- Working knowledge of TourPlan and WISH or similar booking / operating system.
- General product knowledge on Southern and East Africa.
- Personal or educational travel experience advantageous
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
- Foreign language skills advantageous.
