The Role
We’re looking for a copywriter’s copywriter, someone who is excellent at writing in all forms, whether that be digital, social, or long-form content. We’re looking for someone who’s not only comfortable working closely with other creatives to conceptualise and execute campaigns by capturing the imagination of the audience using the power of language, but someone who can manage the tone of voice of multiple brands and mentor junior copywriters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualise creative, brand-appropriate concepts to meet the strategic goals in accordance with the client’s brief
- Write copy for a variety of platforms including (but not limited to) print, radio, TVC, digital, long-form content, etc.
- Communicate and present ideas – pitch these ideas and concepts to both internal and external stakeholders in a professional and impactful manner with the ability to accept constructive feedback
- Work closely with the creative team
- Mentor/guide junior copywriters
- Oversee the brand TOV of multiple clients across a number of client categories
- Constantly develop and refine their craft and that of the junior team
- Keep abreast of current trends and popular culture in accordance with industry best practice
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Copywriting/Advertising
- At least 6 years’ experience working as a Copywriter with 1 year being in a Senior role within an Advertising Agency
- Digital experience is essential
- Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Word/PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficient in Apple products (i.e., Mac)
- Knowledge of and experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus
- A good command of the English language (both verbal and written)
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills (ability to work on more than one brief)
- An eye-catching portfolio that demonstrates a strong range of Copy from ATL to Digital
